Female Genital Mutilation: Religion, Culture, and Human Rights

According to the World Health Organization, Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting has no health benefits, and it harms girls and women in many ways. It involves removing and damaging healthy and normal female genital tissue, and interferes with the natural functions of girls' and women's bodies. At this event, Scott Fraser (President and Publisher at Dundurn Press) will interview author Farzana Doctor about her explorations of this topic in her new book, Seven, followed by a Q+A session with the virtual audience.
